Makerfabs Customer’s Crowdfunding bring excellent mSLA resin printer to the world- Lite3DP Gen 2
As an Open Hardware designer& producer, Makerfabs help more than 100 customers& startups realizing their design into real product every year, include PCBA production/ Product assembly/ Testing/ and even drop shipping, and get good service.
This blog we introduce one of our customer's Crowdfunding Projects--Lite3DP Gen 2.
Lite3DP S1 was built in collaboration with Makerfabs and has yielded great results! This new version of Lite3DP takes the lessons learned from the Lite3DP S1’s model and brings you an improved, open source 3D printer that's built to deliver . Lite3DP printers not only feature a minimalist design that has proven to be both distinctive and effective, but also built with high-precision components, powered by an ESP32 microcontroller, and programmable using the Arduino IDE. Lite3DP Gen 2 introduces several quality of life enhancements with an improved display and the ability to handle larger print volumes.
Lite3DP team entirely redesigned the Lite3DP Gen 2 PCBs while maintaining backwards compatibility with the Lite3DP S1. The Gen 2 Dev Kit not only allows existing Lite3DP users to upgrade their printers, it also gives DIY 3D printing enthusiasts everything they need to build their own Lite3DP Gen 2 printer or design a new mSLA resin printer with Lite3DP's open source hardware at its core.
Standard mSLA printing - curing photosensitive resins layer by layer under 405 nm UV light - easily creates plastic parts with realistic detail and a glossy surface. Lite3DP Gen 2 goes further by allowing you to experiment with different resins and resolutions for a given source file (a collection of PNG images for each section) while debugging your creation. As a result, the Lite3DP Gen 2 is ideally suited for educational, medical, industrial and recreational applications, including the creation of precision parts, detailed models, prototypes and miniatures and other parts need this exquisite details.
Lite3DP Gen 2 is small and quiet for use in the home, workshop, office or anywhere else. Unlike other resin printers that rely on noisy fans to dissipate the heat generated by their UV light source, the Lite3DP Gen 2's aluminum base and light cone provide ample cooling without being annoying.
Lite3DP Gen 2 also being environmentally friendly by pushing the envelope on energy efficiency . Compared to other larger mSLA printers pull close to 100 W , Lite3DP Gen 2 only requires less than 10 W of power . Smaller prints from smaller printers naturally tend to produce less waste.
Lite3DP Gen 2 designed small and light , made it easy to carry , Weighing in at less than 0.5 kg (17 oz) and with a total size of 10 x 10 x 16.7 cm (4 x 4 x 6.5 in), Lite3DP Gen 2 can fit in your bag
Lite3DP team has always been generous . Unlike filament printers, mSLA printers have almost always been proprietary, commercial products. Their goal is to provide the missing link for open source resin printing. Like the Lite3DP S1, the Lite3DP Gen 2 is a completely open source project. Its design files, source code and documentation are available now and will be expanded and improved over time. The Lite3DP team hopes to empower users by making it as easy as possible to program, understand, customize, and repair Lite3DP Gen 2.
During the production of Lite3DP S1, Makerfabs cooperated well with Lite3DP team by providing the PCBA manufacturing / programming / testing / product assembly part of the product production ,Makerfabs good service& quality made us creating good cooperation.
