Part 1.What is AI?
AI is the abbreviation of Artificial Intelligence, it is the technology that enables computers and machines to simulate human intelligence and problem-solving capabilities. AI can perform tasks that would otherwise require human intelligence or intervention, either on its own or in combination with other technologies such as sensors, geolocation, and robotics. Examples of AI in daily news and daily life include digital assistants, GPS guidance, autonomous vehicles, and generative AI tools like Open AI's Chat GPT.
Artificial intelligence has gone through many cycles of hype, but even to skeptics, the release of ChatGPT seems to mark a turning point. The last time generative AI loomed this large, the breakthroughs were in computer vision, but now the leap forward is in natural language processing (NLP). Today, generative AI can learn and synthesize not just human language but other data types including images, video, and software code.
Part 2 .Current mainstream AI developments
ChatGPT is a language model focused on dialog generation. It is capable of generating an intelligent response based on the user's text input. This answer can be a short word or a long speech. Where GPT stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer. By learning a large collection of ready-made texts and conversations , ChatGPT is able to talk like a human in real time, answering all kinds of questions fluently. Whether in English or other languages ,it can do "almost" anything, from answering historical questions, to writing stories, and even writing business plans and industry analyses.ChatGPT can also be used in conjunction with other AIGC models for even cooler and more useful features.
OpenAI trained ChatGPT using RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) technique with more human supervision for fine-tuning.
In addition, ChatGPT has the following features:
Edge computing is a framework for distributed computing that can bring enterprise applications closer to data sources, such as IoT devices or local edge servers. This proximity to data at its source can potentially provide significant business benefits, including faster insights, improved response times, and better bandwidth availability.
While cloud and AI were once seen as promising solutions to automate and accelerate innovation by deriving actionable insights from data, it is now clear that further advancements are necessary to keep up with the ever-increasing volume of data. In recent times, it has become apparent that the scale and complexity of data generated by connected devices have surpassed network and infrastructure capabilities.
On the above issue , Edge computing offers a more efficient alternative, processing and analyzing data closer to where it's generated. Because data does not have to travel across a network to a cloud or data center to be processed, latency is reduced. Edge computing - and mobile edge computing on 5G networks - enables faster and more comprehensive data analysis, creating the opportunity for deeper insights, faster response times, and improved customer experiences.
