ESP32 UWB DW3000 Range Test - Achieving 500 meters Distance with Ultra-Wideband Technology

In this tutorial, we will learn how we can set up the anchor and tag and use the basic code to establish the communication between Anchor and Tag. The Anchor and Tag will show the distance and RSSI value from each other. According to the manufacturer, it is claimed that the communicating distance that can be achieved by this module is 500 meters. We will therefore do the ESP32 DW3000 UWB Module Range test.

This is a tesing of 2D positioning using our " MaUWB_DW3000 with STM32 AT Command" modules , which used Python to recevie the message and extract the values send by the anchor A0. The 2D graphs were rendered using OpenCV drawing functions.

In this test, Kumpee positioned the anchors A0, A1, and A2 at coordinates (800, 800), (800, 0), and (0, 400) respectively. The tag T0 was placed at coordinates (400, 400),  then entered the scene to observe how my presence affected the results.

In this test, Kumpee positioned the anchors A0, A1, and A2 at coordinates (800, 800), (800, 0), and (0, 400) respectively. Then,he moved the tag T0 to positions P0, P1, P2, and P3, and also randomly walked to other positions in the room.
